With over 15 years of experience in combat sports, Ryan Christian Ventura has become one of the most recognizable and electrifying voices in Canadian MMA. A veteran ring announcer since 2011, Ryan has introduced hundreds of fighters across major stages in North America and the United Kingdom, working with athletes who have competed in the UFC, ONE Championship, Bellator, Misfits Boxing, WWE, AEW, and more.

As the long-time voice of Battlefield Fight League, Canada’s top developmental promotion to the UFC, Ryan’s high-energy introductions have been broadcast to millions on UFC Fight Pass, DAZN, TSN, Fight Network, and Global TV. His work has helped shape the storytelling and atmosphere of Canadian combat sports. He holds the record for the most professional fighters introduced and the most professional MMA events announced in Canadian history, a milestone that reflects his consistency, precision, and undeniable presence on the microphone.

In 2025, Ryan made his major motion picture debut in the A24 film The Smashing Machine, starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, portraying the PRIDE 2000 Ring Announcer. The role blended his real-world experience with on-screen performance and cinematic storytelling.

Ryan is the youngest and only Canadian to ever work directly with the legendary Michael Buffer, and at age 30 became the youngest licensed professional ring announcer in Nevada, the global fight capital.

Beyond combat sports, Ryan has brought his voice and presence to major live events, including serving as the guest in-arena host for the Vancouver Canucks’ inaugural Filipino Heritage Night, highlighting his connection to culture, community, and Vancouver’s sports landscape.

Outside of the arena, Ryan has long been involved in Vancouver’s live events and entertainment scene, collaborating with OFF2 and contributing to large-scale music festivals and major events across Canada, including Dooms Night and Insomnia. His work in this space reflects a strong understanding of live audiences, event production, and performance-driven environments.

A lifelong martial artist, Ryan trains at an advanced level in Muay Thai and Kickboxing, holding a red belt under the FKP MMA striking system, and continues to develop his skills in no-gi submission grappling whenever possible.

Ryan is also a dedicated supporter of Vancouver and British Columbia sports, as well as charitable initiatives that uplift Filipino culture, support underprivileged youth, and help cats find loving homes.

Alongside his live announcing career, Ryan is actively expanding into on-screen acting and voice work, drawing on his commanding vocal presence, performance experience, and ability to connect with audiences across formats.

Known for his powerful delivery, authenticity, and showmanship, Ryan brings the same intensity and heart to everything he does. As loud as his voice may be, his passion and commitment are even louder.
